Our Comments:

Magaluf has changed, and the Melia South Beach gives a glimpse of what the future will probably look like for this resort.  When you walk into the Melia South Beach you feel like you've entered a private club, with staff keen to help in a friendly yet understated manner.

If you're looking for a modern hotel, where you can relax during the evenings, or when not playing golf, then this is the hotel for you.  But we need to be clear, this property is not inexpensive, so the quality of where you stay, needs to be as high up on your list of priorities as the quality of the courses you've decided to play.

If you have planned a golf free day, and you're travelling when the weather is warm, then you could spend the day at the hedonistic Nikki Beach Club.  During the evening the Piano Bar and the Britannia are literally just steps away from the hotel, and if you do want to venture along 'the strip' then this is easily walkable too.
