Son Quint Golf Course - Arabella Golf Son Quint

Son Quint has been designed by Garden & Golf, and according to Son Vida and Son Muntaner's former course manager, James Arnold, it falls between the two existing courses in length (6,780 yards) and difficulty. It is a gentler test than Son Muntaner and offers splendid views over the bay of Palma.

A few kilometres from Palma, the capital of the island, you will find the three courses that comprise Arabella Golf in Mallorca: the traditional and legendary Son Vida, the spectacular and magnificent Son Muntaner, and the new course with sea-views, Son Quint, which opened in September 2007.

Ramon Espinosa of "Garden & Golf" designed the 18 hole course with two big lakes, extends over 6200 metres of spectacular Mallorcan countryside, through pine and ancient olive trees. Thanks to its elevated position Son Quint has an amazing view of the Palma area, and the sparkling sea of the bay of Palma.

The well-placed bunkers will challenge even experienced golfers, and four different tee-box positions enable a variety of play.

The grass at Son Quint is a dense and an intensely green colour, even in the high summer temperatures, which is due to Ramon Espinosa's choice of the fine "Princess" type of grass.

After an exceptional round of golf here why not return to the clubhouse with its superb facilities, or even take a refreshing dip in the pool!

Carlo Knauss, ex-federal golf trainer of Germany, sports commentator of PPV Premiere and consultant for the new Son Quint golf course, comments,

"Son Quint will dazzle players looking for variety and something a little special. For example at hole 8, the highest point on the course, you tee-off facing directly towards Palma Cathedral."

What Our Clients Say:

First time we played Son Quint and it won't be the last! Very good value for money, and lovely interesting fairways & holes. Sep 15

Level of service from Caddy Masters was exceptional, and the whole course, set-up, and practice areas, were first class. Jul 15

Our expectations were low due to the huge difference in price between Son Muntaner and Son Quint, but, the warm welcome from the caddy master on arrival, and, a surprisingly good course and with good facilities made it an enjoyable experience. Great value for money and, can compete with it's more expensive neighbours. May 15

Nice wide open fairways. Most forgiving for higher handicap golfers. Oct 14

We thought Son Quint was selling itself short by being marketed as 'trendy' or 'Mallorca’s youngest' because all sorts of horrors jumped into our minds, of open fields with small, staked trees scattered around and bumpy, unsettled greens. Well, not a bit of it! Yes, the course opened in 2007 but it is a gem. Recently designed but on traditional lines; there are no enormous bunkers or ridiculous water hazards, instead the holes are fair and accessible to improving golfers, yet challenging to experts. All 18 tee shots are interesting with good views of either the hole, the countryside or the Bay of Palma, or all three. A highlight is the arrow-straight par 5 17th with the flag fluttering nonchalantly half a kilometre away in the distance. The course was superbly presented with enough rough to reward the straighter hitter. It has not been imposed upon the countryside, more flows within it, and most green-to-tee distances were refreshingly short, offering the realistic option of walking the course. The clubhouse was the usual four star accommodation, unfortunately let down by surly bar service, but the course was great! Jul 13

This was the first time we have played this course. From the initial welcome, through the Pro-shop, receiving the trolley, and instruction to first green, everything was very smooth. The course itself was immaculate and of a standard suitable for all our group - challenging for the low handicappers but not over difficult for the high handicap players. The after golf area was very nice and tranquil. May 13

Great day - good golf by all; buggies spot on - not rushed by anyone. The bar area was nice and the staff in the pro shop very helpful. Buggies allowed on the fairways definitely is a good help and does speed-up play. May 13

Real Mallorca were training on hole 14 ;-) Aug 12

The total facility was really high class, and the course is challenging but with wide fairways. Jun 12

We felt the course was very well maintained, not too difficult, but challenging, and had some attractive features. Aug 11

Good balance. Suited both me, playing off 12, and my 11 year old son playing off 28. Jul 11

Condition, layout, staff and proximity were all superb, and the beer was VERY cold! Apr 11

Back nine was impressive. Jul 10

Great condition, superb views and holes. Good greens - open but challenging. Hole positions really hard at times though! May 10

Some great holes especially the Par 3, 12th over water. Friendly staff, easy to find, fantastic course. Oct 09

Wide fairways and interesting holes - no "Mickey Mouse" holes that you find at other courses! Sep 09

GPS buggies, exceptional greens, course to ourselves! Sep 09
