Built in 1971 and refurbished during the winter of 2002, the Samos hotel has a total of 417 guest rooms over 9 floors. All guest rooms at the hotel are either air-conditioned or centrally heated according to the time of year and are equipped with a fully fitted 'en-suite' bathroom with shower, along with a safety deposit box (at additional charge), direct dial telephone, satellite television and a balcony. Many of the rooms have sea views, whereas other rooms enjoy inland views towards the mountains in the north. A maid service is also provided changing towels as required and bed linen once a week.

There is a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool surrounded by gardens and a sun terrace with plenty of space for sunbathing. Other facilities at the hotel include a 24-hour reception and indoor and outdoor bar areas with giant TV screens for televised sports, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services. Guests can dine in the air-conditioned restaurant, serving a varied buffet menu, and enjoy the evening entertainment which is provided several evenings per week.

The Samos Hotel is frequently acknowledged as offering a high level of service for its 3 star rating.  It is one of the hotels in Magalluf that attracts many golfing groups mainly for two reasons.  The first is that it is close to the start of the strip, and the surrounding nightlife, and the second is that it is very competitively priced.  For golfers on a strict budget this hotel and its location is hard to beat.
